Travel Club, focus on fostering loyalty within the companies participating in their loyalty program, launched an online sales zone, www.travelclub.es, with more than 200 shops incorporated, such as Amazon, FNAC or Casa del Libro among others.
The goal and the big challenge was to get the 6,5 millions clients that Travel Club already had in its offline program to embrace in their routine the use of their Travel Club Loyalty card for their online purchases. The secondary goal was acquiring new members interested in getting points through their online shopping experiences.
As a performance marketing agency, we carried out an analysis of clients’ online search behavior. Out of that analysis we determined the segments to be targeted and we created a communication strategy to encourage the use of Travel Club online stores.
Having this framework and focusing on the chosen segments, we activated search, display and programatic campaigns in different channels, including search marketing (Google, Yahoo), Real Time Biding (RTB), social networks and display advertising at Travel Club clients’ websites.
The message we delivered in each of the promotional campaigns was customized according to different motivations, stages and periods of purchase.
The standard message explained the advantages of using the Travel Club member card, the incentives they could get and also introduced the main associated online shops.
As for the media, we focused on programmatic buying. The goal was getting conversions and recruiting members; regarding social media we activated a campaign targeting online stores fans using.
With all these actions implemented, our performance marketing agency managed to increase by 19% the number of Travel Club members who buy monthly in stores, keeping conversion costs within defined parameters.
